Through MIT's sophomore robotics class, I designed and fabricated 2 robots and a ski lift that were programmed to communicate with each other using XBee. My mini robot sensed the starting light and autonomously ascended the hill, notifying the ski lift to start when a magnetic field was detected by the robot, pulling it up the slope. Meanwhile, my main robot ascended the hill autonomously and then during manual mode was programmed to respond to a PS2 controller where it would push the multiplier using a rack and pinion. I ended scoring enough points to land me in the top 16 on the last day of the tournament. News articles about my years competition can be found from MIT News and Boston Globe.
